Sigmation's D.C. Tachometer Generators
are self contained, direct current generators. Their linear output
voltage is proportional to their rotational speed. The D.C. output
is produced with transistorized rectification without the use of slip
rings, commutators or any other wear or noise-producing components.
This technique eliminates capacitive filtering and the associated
slow response time while providing a smooth D.C. output. This voltage
can be used to drive a meter for remote readout of RPM or as a feedback
signal to a variable-speed drive controller.
